Anyone got a separate pic of the Ford Econoline E-300 mini motor home there? |
◊ 2011-08-13 18:26 |
I don't believe that's really a motor home. See the main Econoline's page for details. |

I see side markers, so 1968... |

The 2nd thumb is interesting - shows the 1968+ S2 rear. But main and thumb show what appear to be S1 front lights. So did US S2 keep S1 front instead of European S2 rectangular lights?? See Link to "bringatrailer.com" , http://www.paulsgarageblog.com/the-french-connection-rescuing-a-renault-r10/ and http://www.gentrylane.com/s/import-inventory/sold-import/1971-renault-10 to suggest this happened, and that this car is actually 1968+ S2. -- Last edit: 2011-08-13 20:11:15 |

Probably. The US did not have any rectangular headlights until 1975 when GM introduced them on some full size cars. |

I saw that, but this has no part of the original van body beyond the front doors. -- Last edit: 2011-08-13 23:45:51 |

They turn a basic van into a camper to keep from being tracked. Skywatcher has pictures of that scene. During the big crash scene, the camper shell gets pulled off, revealing the basic van underneath. |

Such a shame that the Renault gets wrecked |

But it demonstrates that the R10 must have been built with Volvo standards of solidity - it survives being a land yacht sandwich and then flattens the Jag Mk9. Respect. |

See also the R10 at http://www.eurofilmcars.com/html/sedans.htm to prove this hybrid was used for US. |

Isn't that how all Class C Motorhomes are made? |
◊ 2012-04-27 15:19 |
No. Coachbuilt motorhomes are always built on chassis cabs (which are just cabs with nothing behind cf: Link to "listers.co.uk" and Link to "static.cargurus.com"). |
