By the way there's another 72 Continental in the thumbnail you were so kind to supply; they must have cleaned out the used car lot of a Lincoln dealer, I've never seen so many early 70s Lincolns in a movie.

Trim, color, and interior options are the only way to tell the three years apart. There were no external badge variations of any kind. Ironically enough, the torn-off trim (see below) indicates that the beige car was gray to begin with, and painted beige for the movie.
