Should they really be listed as "Fiat-Abarth" or "Abarth-Fiat" rather than just Fiat? It is like the Renault Gordini and few other cars, these versions with special engine were still registered under the original make I think, no? |

In 1961 Abarth signed an agreement with Simca, then built Simca-Abarth. For me Abarth is a maker on its own, even if the cars are badged "Fiat-Abarth". Things are different in the 70's when Abarth was absorbed by Fiat. Same things happened to Alpine. They were Alpine, but badged Alpine-Renault. And that's Renault who wanted to change the name in favor of "Renault-Alpine". Only a marketing change... |

Selon mes sources (et mes souvenirs!), Abarth a bien été une marque. De même que Gordini, ou Ghia. Qui ont tous trois fabriqué des modèles originaux... Et ces trois marques ont été reprises par les "gros". Donc, il existe des Abarth, des Fiat-Abarth, des Renault Gordoches et des Ford Ghia aussi (j'ai un peu l'impression d'ouvrir une porte ouverte en disant ça...) Mais ici, c'est une Fiat. Peut-être Abarth, peut-être rebadgée, mais pas la mythique 850 TC. If it is a genuine Abarth (I still doubt it), then it is not a Fiat. In those years Abarth was an independent make, like Shelby American for example. You wouldn't call a Shelby Mustang a Ford, would you not? |

For me too it is an Abarth. Regarding the car by itself, as Junkman I'm doubting. It has the big lights and rubber bumper guards like 1966+ 600D, the year where "mild" Abarth (850 and 1000 Berlina) were abandonned!!!Abarth started to work seriously on the "OT" (850 bases) And this car looks like a Berlina. Lucky guy, he bought one of the last Berlina made by Abarth |

Up to me Abarth should be considered as an independant make until the middle of the 70's, they ve got all atributes of specific cars though using ordinary basis on Fiat , Simca and Autobianchi later... specificities are mechanical first (obviously), but also about body modifications, badges on the cars and names... Now the problem is to agree upon a way of naming the different generations: Abarth, Fiat-Abarth, Simca-Abarth..etc... personnally I'd prefer to share the make between the different models and I'd say this one IS a 1961 Fiat-Abarth (make) 850 TC (model)... I agree with jplemoine, it could be as well a 1000 Berlina of 1963 |

Pour avoir vu le clip, ça ressemble plus à la 1000 TC qu'à la 850. Moi je pencherais plutôt pour Fiat-Abarth. (j'en ai toujours entendu parler dans ce sens) Quand à Abarth-Simca, c'est moi qui l'avait mis pour une voiture de course. Il s'agissait du nom de la voiture tiré de la liste des concurrents. Ils donnaient le nom d'Abarth-Simca. Bref je renomme en Fiat-Abarth et à vous de voir pour Abarth-Simca |

1000 TC, il semble que la 1000 apparue au salon de turin 62, donc millésime 63 ne s'appelait pas 1000 TC mais 1000 Berlina, et que par la suite le suffixe TC n'est jamais été accolé à aucune 1000. En 1967 les 1000 Berlina et Berlina Corsa sont rejointes par une nouvelle version encore plus tonique: la TCR 1000 (101 ch), et arrive en 1969 la 1000 TCR d 110ch (ça devait être impressionnant de conduire une telle bombinette) Il serait bon de recouper nos infos sur ce sujet |

En 1966, les versions les moins demontratives, 850TC berlina et 850TC berlina Nurburgring et 1000 berlina sont supprimés du catalogue. Reste donc les 850TC Corsa et 1000 berlina Corsa D'accord sur la suite des événements à partir de 1967. Donc je dis qu'une 1967 (cf gros phares, butoirs caoutchouc et pas de baguette latérale) ne peut être qu'une version ultra musclée, ce qui n'est pas le cas de cet ersatz aux clignots de Neckar... Ah la 1000 TCR et ses 8000tr/min! |

Berlina me convient à merveille pour cette auto qui n'est ni Turismo, ni Corsa, ni Radiale et encore moins les 3. Le plaisir qu'on ces jeunes filles à laver de façon lascive, telle une Corvette californienne, cette pauvre Zastava, puis à se battre avec leurs sceaux d'eau me semble être l'intérêt majeur de cette séquence... |

C'est de la mauvaise foi de ma part...je le confesse, la chose peux m'arriver quand le sujet s'enlise! Un beau HLM construit par le général. Fiat abarth 850, 900, 1100tc had front open door, and a cooler in the front bumper. It really looks like modified Zastava 750 with Abarth badge. |
