@Commander 57: It has. In the sealed-beam era in the USA, the huge Lucas P100 headlights fitted to Rolls-Royces (and other British luxury makes) were illegal there, and these conversions had to be fitted. |

1952 - 1953 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith LWB Limousine by H.J.Mulliner,ch. LALW27, design 7310, BODY 5440, left hand drive and manual gearchange, After 1953 most were supplied with automatic gearbox. Many were ordered by the Foreign Office for use by the English Ambassadors, with LHD or RHD as appropriate, but since this a Brazilian programme, I opt for this one delivered to the Brazilian Presdent Snr.Dr. Vargas in December 1952, and still owned in Brazil today..He also ordered a H.J.Mulliner Cabriolet, which is still owned by the Brazilian Government, I think. -- Last edit: 2011-10-29 14:23:52 |
