The location is São Paulo City, Monumento às Bandeiras http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monumento_%C3%A0s_Bandeiras. This monument was made in 1954 and it is a tribute to Bandeiras, a kind of expedition that Portuguese and Brazilian people realized in the 1600's. These expeditions were responsible of enlarging Brazil to present boundaries, what were delimitaded by Pope rules in a much smaller area. |
