I am confused by this statement, Bora and Jetta are the same car. |

In Europe we called the MKIV Jetta Bora and then went back to Jetta for the MKV. It seems in Mexico the MKIV Jetta (named Bora in Europe) remained on sale and so they called the MKV version of the Jetta Bora (when fot this generation Volkswagen decided to go back to the Jetta name for Europe). Basically the naming situation in Mexico was the opposite of the one in Europe. It is confusing. I have no idea why they stopped and then restarted using the Jetta name in Europe. |

Volkswagen kept producing the A4 Jetta (or Bora) untill a facelift happened, the A5 Jetta was sold separately as another car, named the Bora. it production lasted untill the production of the A6 Jetta |
