A 1937 LaSalle Series 50 |

That was my first thought too, but I don´t think the bumper match. There should be some kind of "ornament" in the middle of the bumper and the bumper horns are different. |

How about a 1936 Buick. Did anybody consider that? |

Very blurred.Radiator looks Oldsmobile L-35 eight of 1935 but would need much clearer picture |

One element of the pic pleads for the Lasalle. First, that very narrow grille is a trademark of Cadillac and LaSalle of the era. The Olds grille is much too wide. Second, low on each fender there is a bright spot that I first thought were parking lights. No car had parking lights there in the thirties, I believe. But here the Lasalle had chrome chevrons and it might be the reflection of light on those chevrons. The grille says 1937. I don't really see the difference in the bumper guards with factory images I have. True, there was a center ornament in the middle of the bumper, but it is quite discreet, and it may be blurred by the tree leaves who mask parts of the bumper. I believe that Yvon's first impression may be right. -- Last edit: 2007-07-16 17:33:43 |
