interesting fact..the movies vehicle buyer Tony Oliver, actually purchased about 30 wartime german and british vehicles while filming this movie in spain, they were fixed up and used in the film, and cost £100 apiece..he said going to spain at the time of filming was like stepping back into ww2,as there was allsorts of German vehicles available..most of his purchases are seen in the title sequence of german vehicles driving through the airfield...many of these vehicles are currently (2007) in his museum here in the UK.and have since been used in various war movies, including Raiders Of The Lost Ark. sadly tony oliver died late 2013 from a heart attack, he was in his mid 70s. -- Last edit: 2014-03-20 00:57:16 |
