Nope, I can't agree unfortunately. The bus is a TDH (or M) 4509 built sometime between 1949 and early 1953 (probably more toward the later date because the roof strengthening had already been added in production as can be seen by the slightly narrower single passenger window just forward of the rear door. But that doesn't tell the whole story; the engine fresh air intake over the rear bench seat single window has fluting under the cowl on all but the very later 4509s as can be seen on this bus. On the very last 4509's and all 4512's the fluting was eliminated. I will admit, however, that to the untrained eye the 4509's and 4512's seem exactly the same. Regards, Mr. 'L' |
