Smiths crisps used to come unseasoned with a little wrap of salt in a twist of blue paper so you could sprinkle it on yourself. More English overtones to this picture from the Ford 100E and Morris Minor.

There were so many conversions of the T1, that even the longtime-Bulli-freaks didn't know all ;)

Sorry dsl, but no comment by me about crips ;) For allergy reasons I'm avoiding them, so I'm unable to contribute own experiences.

About the car: is it the 1959+ bumper? Surely based on a Transporter.

These stretched and raised versions were (most probably) made by Kemperink. They started in 1954 to build these for the biscuit factory Bolletje; since 1959 officially approved by Volkswagen. About 1000 were built. The base was a Pick-up, stretched by 90 cm, and given a van body. But should it be listed as Van/MPV or as Pick-up?

Rather Van. It's a real Van-body, just built on a Pick Up-basis, and not a removable canopy.
