The model origin of this Pajero is Brazil, since Japan didn't design and built this Pajero... -- Last edit: 2011-09-06 20:40:33 |

Why HPE? On mitsubishi.com.br in 2010 the Pajero Sport was listed without "HPE" in the name and it looks quite similar: Link to "web.archive.org" (not sure why the others were all listed as HPE) |

I didn't ask what is HPE, I asked why HPE specifically since it seemed identical to the "normal" one |

FWIW the badge n the rear looks more like the VGT-I, than the HPE one. -- Last edit: 2014-04-07 18:23:34 |

This car is interesting. I noticed it was a real Brazilian car when I saw the license plate. It's a real Brazilian license plate that follows the correct pattern [ABC-1234] instead of the pattern they've made for the movie [1ABC-234], that kind of looks like what a California plate would have. I searched the plate in an app made by the government to detect stolen or missing cars, and turns out this car was stolen. I wonder if it was stolen before or after the movie was shot. -- Last edit: 2016-12-01 23:18:53 |

After the film, surely. It was probably brand new, maybe even supplied by Mitsubishi in Brazil as product placement. |

Mitsubishi Japan designed it back in the 1990s. Mitsubishi Brazil face-lifted the lights, grille and bumpers fifteen years later. I'd say Origin Japan, made in and for Brazil. -- Last edit: 2016-12-19 13:19:48 |
