I have a poster/foldout of a red one taped to my closet door. http://www.saturnfans.com/photos/showgallery.php/cat/12942 The side I'm talking about is the last 3 images put together. I've also got a poster of a 9-3 TurboX, Tahoe Hybrid and Sierra Denali. |

Wow I haven't seen that website in a long time (I used to frequent it 5 or 6 years ago and still have my Saturnalia license plate frame hanging in the basement) ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-06-02 01:00:48 |

Even that place isn't worth to be defaced with that poster My sister-in-law had the Opel-version of that car, one time I drove it by myself - disgusting. At first the rear view is terrible, the oversized doors are uncomfortable in every way, the rear seats are not usable for adults (and to mount a chidren-seat or just place luggage there is annoying, too) - and the quality standard of the interior is worst! Much worse than at other Opels, newer and older ones, it doesn't matter. Absolutely cheap impression, same class as a Dacia has, or a 1990es Lada. DIS-GUS-TING! |

Lada owners would disagree. |

I've driven a few of these and compared to other cars I've had it was reasonably well put together. Certainly better than Peugeots, Renaults and Fords. Not as well put together as some of the Mercs and BMWs but then it is not such a premium image car. Can't really say about cheaper cars as I haven't tried any. |

I'll say, the Astra that Saturn sold was far from the right car, since it's base price was higher than most competition, with fewer standard features. XR trims, for what they were worth, was not as powerful or equipped at competitors, making the VW GTI MkV look like a bargain. But, the Astra sure looked great. If GM waited a bit longer, and refreshed the ION instead, the Astra that's out now would have made a better replacement. Sadly, of course, GM discontinued the Saturn brand in 2010 (the only 2010 model being the Outlook), along with Pontiac and Hummer. Hopefully Buick does a good job at bringing Opel/Vauxhall models to America, so far, the Regal is doing pretty good. -- Last edit: 2011-06-02 18:11:29 |

I just wish GM would have left Saturn alone, and not turned it into another badge-engineered marque... |
