Difficult - BMC Farina - Wolseley 16/60 perhaps ?

I was thinking similar, but Wolseley 15/60 with sharper rear fins?

Difficult one this, definately not a Wolseley 15/60 or 16/60,the bonnet is too flat and has a central ridge or chrome strip, the Wolseleys don't have this.My guess is Morris Oxford VI but I am not sure.

A closer look reveals another window behind the rear door, with that and the shape of the bonnet I'm now going for a series 5 Humber Hawk or one of the sixes.

Compare size against the Beetle - nothing like big enough for Humber (or Westminster or 6/110 etc) - something ADO9/38-size is maximum. How about MG Magnette S4 to match side trim/colour split??

It really is a job to tell, even the MK1V Ford looks short from the angle that the picture was taken and I'm sure that there is an extra window behind the rear door which would exclude any Farina or BMC product, I still favour a Rootes model.

1965 Humber Hawk Series IV gets my vote also, as Graham B.

By the almost flat rear glass, six light body, bonnet badge and central rib, full length straight bright strip, windscreen shape and wiper locations which all match.

Humber length is 24in longer than the VW (4674mm/184in Vs 4064mm/160in) it does show a shorter length but the two cars are not quite parallel, distorting I think the difference.

Well argued - a done deal.
