the J series ran from 1929 to 1937. (many different body styles were used ..including specialist custom built coachbuilders.!) from the pictures of the bonnet ...this is Not a supercharged model.! Yes, its a 1929 Model J. The Model SJ (1932, supercharged) put out about 320 hp with a top end of over 130 MPH. I can't imagine driving a 1929 car that fast.  -- Last edit: 2006-03-10 01:41:31 |

I always loved this scene from the movie...How often do you see a Duesenberg flying and skidding around a corner, breaking through a chain, revved up and put to the limit!? Wonder what chassis number it was...and if it still survives...Sometimes, you can pick up these non-cabriolet Duesies for far less than the Million Plus it takes to purchase a ragtop...knowing it would be the car from this film would make it one of the coolest 4 doors to own...although still out of my own personal price range...but I guess I can dream, right!? |
