was surprised at first, but I really seems to be a VW Passat B2 aka Typ 32B , built from 1981 on. Or is it the 1985 facelift? Were they still called Dasher/Quantum in the USA back then? |

Yes, it's a [32B]-Passat Variant, here a Quantum, as filemd in the USA. It's the 1981-85-version. Due the light blue metallic colour, which wasn't available later on, and due the shorter bumpers, too. The 1985+-version goes until the wheel arches. |
