Yes it is a '76 Givenchy Designer Series model. 2 Lincolns were used in the movie, one of them was blown up.

And the winners are....leadfoot and nightclub!! The car is in fact, my 1976 Lincoln Mark IV Givenchy Designer Series. I was there when they were filming this scene. What a great honor.

Love the colors.
(Miss that nice 2-toning and use of vinyl on today's cars.)

Well, as far as more info. goes, on my "Givenchy" Mark IV, I am probably the third or fourth owner. I won the car in an ebay auction in July 2005, and at that time, it was a Texas car. It also had been registered in Washington state. It had only 71,111 original miles, and has the very nice factory power moonroof, which just makes the whole car. A previous owner did a very careful and brave restoration effort on the car, but the paint was way too light in color, the pinsripes were wrong, and the seams in the vinyl top were all wrong. Being a limited edition car, it had to be perfect, so I had it taken all apart, repainted, striped, and had a new, correct vinyl top put on. The car has the cloth and leather intrior, and all the cloth parts were replaced with new old stock material. The car did not need any body work - no rust. It was well worth it - it is extremely nice and I get lots of compliments!

Being a purist, I'm happy to hear that you restored it authentically.
Looks fantastic in the pix!
