I think it might be a bigger 503 - the 509 had an overhead camshaft engine where the 503 was side valve - probably had the wheels spokes cut short and smaller rims fitted to be able to obtain tyres. -- Last edit: 2011-03-18 21:49:40 |

Having another look at this one - http://www.arcar.org/fotos/vehiculos/5523-Fiat-503-1922.jpg - I think they might be the original wheels but fitted with oversize tyres. It is not 1922 by the way, the 503 came later - 1927 and 1927 only. |
