I think the 1949 models looked the same but had the spare wheel on the tailgate. Or maybe it is a Plymouth (P20) Special De Luxe Station Wagon , which looks the same but is on a much shorter wheelbase (118" vs 125 for the Chrysler). -- Last edit: 2011-03-18 08:26:57
pilou ◊ 2011-03-18 10:27	The shape of the bumper blade here appears to be the 1949 Plymouth one ,with the 2 horizontal ribs in it .I go for a 1949 Plymouth Special DeLuxe Station Wagon ,model P 18 on the 118 1/2 inch wheelbase. Actually it also appears to have the tailgate spare wheel : in 1949 Plymouths the spare tire was mounted in a special alcove quite deeply recessed in the tailgate.1949 Chrysler Royals had different bumper blades extending towards the rear wheel arch and 1950 Chrysler Royals also had different rounded bumper blades.
