1972 Mercury Marquis? -- Last edit: 2006-06-18 04:18:41 |

Well it's a station wagon so it's not a Lincoln. The lack of a grille makes it harder. The side markers looks too tall to be a '72. I'm thinking '75 Mecury Marquis wagon or '76 Ford LTD wagon. |

That cant be a 1972 Town & Country, because it's this way: http://www.aswoa.com/wpeD.jpg It ressembles more to a New Yorker: /vehicle_32068-Chrysler-New-Yorker-1979.html -- Last edit: 2006-12-15 17:29:13 |

I think the grill piece looks a lot like the Family Truckster. /vehicle_25982-Ford-LTD-Country-Squire-1983.html |

Who would Richard Pettys (Chip Weathers I think his name is) wife be a Ford product when the Petty family is a Mopar family? |

Mrs. The King is modeled after the car in which the Petty's and their children drove to races in the 1970's. |

...which, according to Wikipedia, was a 1974 Chrysler Town & Country. |

Richard Petty did race Fords all though out '69 before he returned to Plymouth in '70, You probably didn't know about that. |

Yes, Mrs. The King is also voiced by Lynda Petty; the wife of Richard Petty. |

Rest in peace, Lynda Petty. |
