MGC by the bulge on the bonnet (/hood), to accommodate the BMC C-type six. Bad idea as it was much too heavy; the Rover (ex-Buick) V8 was much better as it weighed about the same as the BMC B-type four. |

Non-standard rollbar, rear numberplate light, radio aerial and huge periscopes on front wings - maybe the owner was partially-sighted so ordinary wing mirrors weren't good enough (see cockpit thumb). |

If small round greenish spots on top of the mirrors are visible, they are original Talbot-mirrors. There was a black version, too, not only those with the chrome shell. Note: this company Talbot existed in West-Berlin and had nearly nothing to do with the French car-brand. "Nearly", because somewhere was written, that this manfacturer of aftersales market car-parts was a leftover of the pre-war German office of the car-brand. But I cannot find this article any more ![]() |
