Probably 1899 Daimler Phaeton - see top right of Link to "www.numberplates.com" - I think this is still a regular London-Brighton Run entry, possibly owned by the Montague Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire. DVLA entry is a mess, but worth quoting: The vehicle details for AA 16 are:
Date of Liability 01 12 2011
Date of First Registration 01 07 1969
Year of Manufacture 1969
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 3050CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status SORN Not Due
Vehicle Colour GREEN

3050cc may be the genuine figure - has no match to any 1969 Daimler. I assume the DVLA computer has problems digesting 1899 dates.

It was the first car to be driven into the House of Commons Yard, and also the first all British entry in a foreign road race, the Paris-Ostend event in which it finished third in the Tourist Class. The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, had one of his first ever motor rides in this car. The vehicle was restored by the Museum Workshops.
