Ya, 70's/80's Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Classic. It could also be a Scottsdale. |

2500 is a GMC chassis designation, This is a 1988 Chevrolet Scottsdale C-20. The Silverado is the top of the line trim package, the most noticable item is a 4 headlight configuration with a chrome grill, this truck has neither. Chevrolet trim levels run as follows, Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale, Cheyenne and Silverado. GMC trim levels run as follows, Sierra, High Sierra, Sierra Grande and Sierra Classic. Chevrolet full size chassis levels are as follows, C10, C20, C30 in 2 wheel drive, K10, K20, K30 in 4 wheel drive vehicles. GMC full size Trucks chassis levels, C1500, C2500, C3500 in 2 wheel drive form, K1500, K2500, K3500 in 4 wheel drive vehicles. -- Last edit: 2006-06-14 22:51:08 |

Chevrolet, GMC and Dodge all list them as part of their truck's name (e.i. Chevrolet Silverado 2500, GMC Sierra 1500 or Dodge Ram 3500). |

That looks too old to be an '88. It's an '85-'87 model. I have a coworker that drives a '88+ Chevy Silverado 2500 (the one with the four small sealed beams on top of a wide turn signal). Chevy did use the C/K 1500/2500/3500 designation in the late '80s and early '90s. -- Last edit: 2006-06-15 07:07:02 |

It is an 85-87...but not a Scottsdale. I have a Scottsdale, and they have the stacked headlights. This is a Custom Deluxe. |
