Another Mitsubishi Galant, but this time possibly one of the Australian-made versions??? |

Why not the Jap verzion of the 1978 Mitsubishi Galant Sigma ? |

Not sure - it just looks slightly different for grille. But I'm not expert here so happy to go along with other opinions. |

Australian Sigma did not have that grille badge, as they were badged as Chryslers. |

I asked because in UK for a short period we had Australian-made Colt Sigma/Galant after Mitsubishi brought out the next model - no Chrysler badging. But it's probably a red herring for this one or probably for HK. Very few sold and it did not last long, but can't find any hard info on google. |

You're talking about the Lonsdale, I think, but that was in the early 80s. This model is earlier, from 1976-80. |

...but the Lonsdale was built in New Zealand, and not in Australia! |

Yes. Thanks - the missing name which is why my googling did not work. And this is not a Lonsdale. @electra225 - it was Aus not NZ, named after the Adelaide suburb of factory site - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lonsdale_(car) . |
