I originally wasn't going to do a page for this but CougarTim did a great job of tracking down info on this:

CougarTim wrote According to Classic Refuse Trucks, the garbage truck is a GMC with a Heil body: "Claudine (1974): There is a profile shot of the hopper of a freshly painted GMC/Heil Colectomatic truck. You can hear the truck cycle, but the actual packing is not shown. There is a shot of Colectomatics entering the now-closed Hamilton Avenue incinerator in Brooklyn, and I believe there was one Roto-Pac." - http://www.classicrefusetrucks.com/film.aj.html

...and I believe that's a picture of Atlanta Braves baseball legend Hank Aaron on the side of the truck!

The one in that third thumbnail doesn't look like a GMC at all. As for this one, I can't tell if it's an HM or JH.

The one in the third thumbnail may not be the same vehicle, I included because I thought it might be but wasn't sure. It looked to me like an International but it's also very small.

Oh, that's an International Harvester alright. I was leaning towards a Loadstar, but now I'm considering a Fleetstar.

The flip nose hood caught my eye, had to do a little digging. Most heavy duty GMC trucks had a normal hood. The GMC 9500 series had a flip nose hood, like the one Hank is riding in the picture.

The doors are similar to the 1967-72 pickup truck, but searching the web shows that the 9500 series trucks didn't change body styles until sometime after 1975...

If movie date is 1974, then I'd say that truck is a 1967-74 GMC 9500.
