This scene was an reenactment of the abduction of officers Ian Campbell and his partner; Karl Hettinger who were both abducted during a traffic stop at the intersection of Carlos Avenue and Gower Street in Hollywood, California on the night of the 9th March 1963. The officers spotted the vehicle (1946 Ford coupe with Nevada registration plates) pulling a illegal U-Turn, so the officers pulled the vehicle and as Campbell ordered the driver; Gregory Powell of the Ford to get out of the vehicle, Powell disarmed Campbell by pulling a firearm on him and getting him to order his partner; Hettinger to put his gun down and then with Powell's passenger; Jimmy Lee Smith's help, ordered Campbell and Hettinger to get into Smith and Powell's Ford. -- Last edit: 2017-01-05 07:07:56 |
