Because "Mini" isn't always an Austin if I remember. The first Mini is named, in reality, "BMC 850" no ? After, it's Austin OR Morris "Mini" For me, it's "Morris" front mark and grill |

Definitely an Austin. In addition to the badge the grill is the normal wavy Austin version with additional vertical bars. I remember these being used on some very early cars but then discontinued. Austin Super Seven as this advert. Only made from 1961-62 they had all the trim of a Mini-Cooper with the standard Mini engine and gearbox. Handlebar bumpers mean Super Mini (Jan-Oct 62) instead of Super Seven (June-Dec 61), and it's a 1963 plate. But being France, it could be Super 850?? |
