Yes, but this vehicle has probably been junked and the plate reused on a moped.

how do we jnow it is a 760 and not a 740? for me, it is more logical, that they used the cheaper car (740) for the conversion.

I'm pretty sure that there wasn't any 740 ambulances, at least not in Sweden. The 700-series ambulances always had the infamous PRV-6 (perhaps some had the inline 4 cylinder turbo engine?)

My granddad told me yesterday that they had some trouble with the PRV-6 ambulances when he worked at the Volvo shop. At a warm summer they started to boil on longer runs and all ambulances were called in to have a number of modifications. When they were finnished Volvo commisioned a 100 km test drive for each vehicle as Volvos name was at stake and they didn't want to take any chances.

anyway PRV was one of the worst engines volvo has ever had..

Yes it was, and it was made by Renault, and used in Renaults, Peugeots and Volvos.

It powered also the DeLorean DMC-12 and some Venturi models. Lancia used it on the less diffused Thema 6V in the first production years.
