Skid ◊ 2016-08-13 06:01	The blown up car is clearly a mock-up, but prior to that it all appears to be genuine Ferraris getting smashed. The one that crashes through the roadblock appears to be have been red originally...the insides of the headlight buckets are visible as red in the thumbnails above.
humungus ◊ 2025-06-26 01:02	According to the director's commentary, the studio balked at the idea of crashing a genuine Ferrari and they suggested something cheaper, like a Corvette. The director insisted on a Ferrari because you don't see that every day, and got his way. In the end four Ferraris were used in the sequence: one in a pretty good condition, one not quite so good, one not very good at all, and one a shell that they blew up.
