The 56 had bigger "boobies" and rectangular parking lights placed directly below the headlights and the grille didn't have the center protruding as far forward. V on hood front was wider and shallower and the 'shield' was slightly different size and shape from the 54. Also, the stainles valence under the grille was slightly wider.
