mister car from 971 wrote There's a 2005-07 Mustang convertible which flies over on a freeway and explodes later shortly after the two pepople who were in it get out of the car. Unfortunately, the girl dies. I think it happens in the Pilot.

It's was actually this 1969 Mustang, and it provides a major plot point for the pilot episode. The girl does not die.
