The GMT-400 platform crew cab trucks didn't come out until '92. I haven't seen the movie yet and it's hard to see enough of the grille to know for sure, but it looks to me like a '92 or '93 model with the work truck grille.

Those side mirrors were first used on 1995 model trucks. Are we absolutely sure it's a Crew Cab and not an Extended Cab?

The truck has to be from the late 80's or 90's. The truck is a z71, making it a k-series(not c), 4wd, and a 1500. It is a crew cab long bed. Im not sure on the exact year though.

Didn't you see my post about the year range? Besides, it can't be a 1500 as Crew Cabs weren't offered on the 1/2 ton models back then.

That truck is a 1995-2000 CCLB (crew cab long bed) either 2500 or 3500. Leaning towards 3500 due to the fact that they were the most popular cclb back then and a cclb Z71 didnt exist. Its not a Z71, Z71 wasnt offered on any class truck other than the 1500 until 2008 when they offered the Z71 and Z71 4x4 on the 2500HD and 3500HD trucks. Also that Z71 sticker is from a 1999+ GMT800 truck. The truck is also a 2wd, you can tell by the lack of a front diff hanging down in sight.

I saw this movie recently, and it's indeed a crew cab. Role for this truck should be [*][*][*]. It ends up getting blown up at the gas station.

Four stars. Jason Statham's character drives the vehicle throughout the film, until it is blown up at the end of the movie. It's a 1995+ C-3500 Crew Cab Long Bed with a Z71 sticker on either side of the bed.

I thought the Z71 badge looked a little fishy as every one I've seen was a 1500 in Silverado trim. If it is fake, it shouldn't be included in additional information.

As it had a passenger-side airbag, it was at least a 1997 model.

not fake just that at one point or nother the box was replaced on that truck and the donor was a half ton z71

It’s in the form of a newer style Z71 decal with a red "Z" from 1999+.

Is it fake? I can’t say for sure, but the pickup box has not been replaced. That style of decal was never used on the aero generation (1988-1998) pickups.

I want to clarify information here. I’m the owner of this truck. They used 2 different truck for this movie. One was blown up and the other was the close up truck. I bought it from the studios in Shreveport La in 2011. It’s a 1997 c-3500 with a 350 V8 with a 4L80E 2WD. At the time of purchase it had 200k miles on it. It is NOT a Z-71 because a 2wd was never offered with that package that was just done for the movie. I bought this truck for 2000.00. They had this truck, the Chevelle and the Charger from Drive Angry (Nicholas Cage), and the VW Bus from Texas Chainsaw Massacre all for sale for 2000 a piece. I ended up removing the headache rack and brush guard a few years later but I’m planning to install them back on. It even still has the PVC pipe in the fuel door where it diverted the gas to the ground from the explosion scene.
Thanks Lee
