first of all, it cant be a 1970 car, because the movie is from 1968 second, is not a Toyota third, loos so big for be an Toyota, could be still as a unknown vehicle |

Observing carefully the side it seems a Mopar built probably in Spain by Barreiro, even if the front end seems altered with those odd and big quad headlights... A sort of locally built Dodge Dart? |

I was thinking some Spanish Mopar as well, but don't know which model... |

I don't know what could it be, but not a Barreiros Dart -- Last edit: 2010-11-20 13:45:16 |

Could it possibly be a 1963 Rambler Ambassador? It looks a bit like one. Could you get those in Spain? |

The front irritates me. The side shape looks a bit like a mixture of a Morris Marina, a Volga M24, an Anadol an a four-door Sabra. |

Could be a Studebaker Commander 1965 |

I bet it's a Dodge Dart Barreiros with a set of dual headlights aftermarket addition |

Front look indeed a little bit altered, but I can see four letters on the hood, exposed wheelhouses, fog lights and what appears to be a chrome spear on the fender. Profile seems about right too. From 17:46: https://ok.ru/video/1055270898180 |

Four headlight and grille seen as Dodge Dart built by Barreiros in Spain, Rally de Orense '0' car, here... Link to "i.pinimg.com" |

The first Rally de Ourense was July 1967 therefore any later rally would be after the film date. Both cars would date from around 1966-1967 or possibly early 1968. The rally car has a 'Barreiros' badge on the grille that is not seen on the car in the movie. The entry number '0' I guess indicated an entry that did not meet the normal rally classes, so some sort of factory prototype or pre-production saloon? The grille could be either an after-market part or a factory fitted part, so were only a few cars produced with the four headlight front rather than it being a series production model? -- Last edit: 2021-02-26 22:37:23 |

No formal rules, but 0 could also be used for an organiser's course or safety car, for instance to drive down the stage to open it ahead of competitors zooming down it. |

^ Good thinking dsl. Another closer view of the headlights I believe shows the inner pair were simply added without to many changes to the grille behind other than clearance holes, so likely just to be an after-market accessory on a 1966 Dart. -- Last edit: 2021-02-27 11:55:51 |

A better pic of the car. Plate 'A93061' returns a Dart registered in 12/04/1966 ![]() |

The correct name would be Dodge Barreiros like name and Dart like model |
