Can't read that sharp , but a 1947 DeSoto DF series is possible.In fact their grille was nearly identical to the Dodge grille. US built Fargo and DeSoto trucks were built to US specifications for export only .Canadian built Fargos and also Dodges were built to Canadian specifications for the Canadian and export markets and the Fargos were somewhat different in appearance still having a Plymouth-style grille.In my ads collection , I have a 1947 Fargo ad from Chrysler France ,showing the Plymouth-style grille and a 1947 Fargo and 1947 DeSoto ad from Chrysler Belgium showing the Dodge-style grille. This unit looks a 116 inch wheelbase chassis , similar to Dodge's WFA 32.Perhaps some Chrysler historians may be wellcome to comment. |
