I think these had no model name - just plain Imperial. The upmarket version was thew Imperial Crown. At this distance probably impossible to tell which it is. |

Custom, Crown & LeBaron were the Imperial models for '58. Crowns had little crowns over each headlight hood and above the second "i" in the side script. Also below the script on the back deck lid and on the inside door and glove box. Agree with you, nzcarnerd, it's too far to tell on this shot, but look below. this one's a "plain Imperial," or Custom if you prefer. Later in the show, we get a good look at the headlight hoods. No golden crown emblem, not the Crown series. |
