Probably, in this image i don't know. In the case of some carroceras as Metalpar (not this one), Agrale, La Favorita and some more in this country (Brazil do not know) are the 2 brands, chassis and body builder |

I do not understand the putting only the mark of the body. If the most important thing is the chassis, which does not contain the mark (in this case Mercedes-Benz) does not entitle you have to put him in second place. Ciferal as Marcopolo, Metalpar and many others, just outsource the bodywork of a Mercedes-Benz chassis. |

And to be fair, all buses are sold by brand chassis because dealers bodywork, at least in the region, there are none. |

But often You don't know, who produced chassis... |

In some cases it is too predictable. Here, they can be easily identified in 90% of cases. There are elements of chassis, which can also be identified. Even databases ministries and transport companies. I know what I say, it is difficult at times, but only to the bodywork, it is only a small part of the bus, which does not represent all (as you would understand.) |

(Using the translator, since I can understand well, but do not write well in English) So IMHO it should be classified as Body / Chassis, visible and identifiable because it is the body, not the chassis. Just like the buggy and the models based on the Volkswagen 1600 Sedan, they are not identified as Volkswagen Sedan 1600 Meyers Manx, despite having Sedan 1600's chassis and engine. The situation Chassis / Body, falls only on certain models, such as the brazilian IVECO CityClass (Iveco chassis with bodywork Neobus), the entire series of Volare (Marcopolo bodywork in a Agrale chassis) and the north-american International Trident (International chassis in Neobus Spectrum Road body) Cityclass: http://www.iveco.com/brasil/products/pages/cityclass.aspx Volare: http://www.marcopolo.com.br/website/volare_en/content/marcopolo/home/ International Trident: http://www.bargainbusnews.com/Buses/2062-2006InternationalDH225/ |

Should be the case of the "monobloco" (brazilian Mercedes-Benz O 371) is fine, but if a chassis and bodywork from different manufacturers, always the most important thing is the chassis, and bodywork that only participates a small part of the bus. In any case, most importantly, the chassis -motor, structure, etc- (which is what matters most) deals with someone like Mercedes-Benz, Scania, Volvo, Iveco ... among others, and not the body builder. -- Last edit: 2010-10-29 18:43:09 |
