Yes it seems a 1936 Fiat 500 A Topolino. Was it even built by Polski-Fiat or was it imported from Italy ??? |

According to http://www.zuckerfabrik24.de/fiat/fiat_lizenz.htm#polski : "Außer den genannten Balilla und Ardita wurden ab 1937 auch Fiat 500 Topolino, 1100 und 1500 in Polen gebaut, 1939 sogar einige der Luxus-Fiat 2800." (Apart from teh mentioned Balilla and Ardita, since 1937 they also built the Fiat 500 Topolino, 1100 and 1500, in 1939 even some luxury Fiat 2800) BUT: we are here in USSR, not in Poland... More probably a 'real' Fiat. (We had a similar case recently: /vehicle_337527-Fiat-500-A-1936.html ) -- Last edit: 2010-10-28 11:57:35 |

If they weren't officially exported to the Soviet Union, maybe they were requisitioned by the Red Army in East Germany or Poland in 1945/46. The little Fiats were popular there in the 30ies and assembled in both countries. Many 500's have survived the war, because -as DKW's, too- they weren't requisitioned by the Wehrmacht during WWII. -- Last edit: 2010-10-28 12:59:27 |

That's 2a serie A (1938+) because of tail exhaust pipe. 1a serie had it underbody, on right side. |

I see this is about Russian teenagers going to the Estonian SSR. It can have been sold new there before the war. |
