According to the sovimport page linked by Jale, models 100.42, 100.45 and 100.47 were used with Orličan N13CH refrigerator trailers (also from Czechoslovakia?). The trailer seen in the film matches the ones in photos on the page. http://sovautoimport.narod.ru/liaz.html |

Orličans were Czechoslovak as well, indeed. Skoda plus one axle trailer of this kind, was their quite common export set, but I think more in times of the previous 706 tractors. Some Orličans are made as H0 assembly kits by the SDV: Link to "www.sdvmodel.cz" EDIT: with this trailers worked only 100.42 acc. to Jale's link. -- Last edit: 2014-10-11 20:53:45 |

The capitalist world, seen by Soviet film-makers: left a Coca-Cola-sign, on the right a car-billboard. Is it a mid-70ies Ford Mustang? |

If you need to make a location look "Western", just put up some advertisements. Doesn't matter where you put them. The same thing happened in that Polish series. ![]() /vehicle.php?id=195058 In reality, the US has a law restricting advertising on federal highways and Interstates. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highway_Beautification_Act |

Mybe we find again a lovely selfmade Coca-Cola-sign, visible in annother Sovietish movie, set in the West. |

This specific scene was filmed in the Western part of the DDR, identifyable by the architecture. Halberstadt, Quedlinburg, Nordhausen, somewhere around there. |

Somewhat funny, they found a huge number of cars, but could not find a more "American" truck. Eventually Kenworth was supplying trucks to the USSR. At least K184 (https://mpark.pro/uploads/posts/2015-10/1446120905_8-kw-k184.jpg), K100 (http://avto-nomer.ru/catalog/kenworth/k100), and W924 (http://www.dalnoboi.ru/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=7402). |
