cko ◊ 2010-10-03 19:35	In the Philippines, which is MUCH closer to Hong Kong than the US, the name Mirage was also used on this car and the 1984 Lancers are typically the "box-type". At first, Lancers were sold in the US as "dodge/plymouth colt", and then the name was used on the early Mirages. We never got the "box" Lancers.So while it is confusing in that the same names were used on different body styles throughout the world, i still cant understand why in one continent this body style would be sold under 2 names-Lancer and Mirage. Thats why I believed it to be a mirage

Very often you have different model-names and trim-lines in direct neighbour-countries. It's nearly uncountable. It's becoming really confusing in countries, where both versions were sold or due used imports mixed up later on.
