Skid ◊ 2010-09-10 20:07	Most police cars were based on low-level models, like Biscaynes. I'm guessing this isn't a legit cop car, but rather am Impala restored as a cop car, in which case the side trim would be removed to make it more closely resemble a Biscayne.
ingo ◊ 2010-09-10 23:03	I don't know, how it's in the USA, but in Germany I've seen sometimes police-cars in non-official sold versions. Basic trim-lines, but with stronger engines inside, so combinations, which weren't available for regular customers. One time, in a VW-garage there was a total basic VW Passat Variant [35i], by the trim-line it should not have more than 90hp - but it had a G60-16V-turbo-engine inside.
