There is nothing "orgin Germany" at this car.

Ingo, it's the same car, but only receives a continuous restylings.

Unfortunately, as with many cars that meet their cycle in Narcosur, the restylings do nothing but ruin and destroy the cars.

At least only the technic stayed the same, everything from the bodywork is different, from the interior, too (AFAIK). Probably not even the technic, as the Brazilian cars mainly have alcohol-engines.

Several other re-styled cars, also from the Mercosur-countries, we don't list with the origin countries. For example the Opala, the switched Fiat-derivates, some Argeninian Renaults, and if I'm not wrong even not the latest Argentinian Peugeot 504's. The late Brazilian and Argentinian made VW T2's are becoming own models, too.

P.S. We also list the Chinese made restyled Santana 2000 as origin China.

I agree, but as I said, unfortunately in these countries is very much in vogue throughout restyled car only changing aesthetic aspects of it.
I think you see different body because as a restyling Brazilian plastics have been added, changed lenses, but the body, indeed, is the same. In the case of Brazil, they have gasoline engines and by gasohol engines.

P.S.II The other Brazilian made B2-Santanas are also listed as "origin Brazil".

Please note that in Argentina, the same car, but between 1987 and 1991 was made in Buenos Aires (VW Carat is called here, to keep the name jokes, and also refers to a name) before the restyling done Brazil. And the truth except for some aesthetic issues did not change almost anything (except some adjustments for local markets - will add the made for: BR -) because here is sold that photo and has also been used as a taxi, with regular success I have even ridden in that car
