Sunbeam Avenger with a facelift. Was it called Mk II or what was the name? |

Hillman Avenger in the UK. Sunbeam I guess for exported cars in the rest of Europe. UK http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/car-development/dev-avenger.html Europe http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/Avenger/avenger-euro.html -- Last edit: 2006-05-11 17:46:05 |

Raul1983 as you say, the rear lights indictate this as a facelift model. 1970 introduced in UK. 1972 exported to Europe and 2-door introduced. 1976 - A rebadge to Chrysler and a facelift, the distinctive "hockey-stick" rear lamp clusters were dropped in favour of a straight 'light-bar' arrangement, so model year 1977. This is as the movie car, so making it Chrysler Avenger. As listed in Wikipedia.org - (who I don't always agree with but in this case can't prove otherwise). -- Last edit: 2008-06-22 15:17:50 |
