It's either a Special model 41d or a Century model 61. |

Wouldn't 3 portholes automatically make this a Special? |

In 1954 only the Roadmaster had 4 portholes, the other series all had only three. The Super sedan had the longer chassis and 6 windows ( http://www.adclassix.com/a3/54buicksupersedan.html ), Special and Century both had this shorter chassis and 4 window. Don't know how to see the difference, though... http://www.adclassix.com/ads/54buickspecial.htm |

Oh, that's right. The switch came with the '55 model year. That was the first year they all had 4 except for the Special. I was off by a year. -- Last edit: 2010-08-16 21:14:45 |
