GY54 YVC is not on DVLA. However, I'm sure it's not GU54 ZFF or GV53 BYK as they were black whereas this one seems to be dark blue. As always it is used throughout the Series. 5.01 5.02: Fake numberplate registered to a Daewoo Matiz! 5.03 5.05 5.06: Renault-Alpine A610 on the end? Worth listing? 5.09 5.10 |

All UK plates, whether private or not, have to be registered with DVLA if the vehicle is to be used on the road. My Mercédès has a private plate, but is still on the government database. It is a two edged sword, for: if your car is nicked it can be tracked by the Automatic Number Plate Recognition system, against: it can be tracked if you decide to do a bit of drug running. I have not yet been caught on my way back from the local pharmacy with my cargo of various drugs for antique persons. -- Last edit: 2021-03-23 14:10:09 |

It's back in the databases and still alive We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided LEXUS LS430 AUTO 2004 Registration number: GY54YVC Body type: 4 Door Saloon Colour: Blue Date of first registration: October 2004 ✓ Taxed Tax due: 1 May 2021 ✓ MOT Expires: 22 November 2021 MOT history Date tested 17 November 2020 PASS Mileage 126,909 miles Full set of MOTs stretch back to 2007, steadily accumulating miles. Database hiccups always possible, but time spent with (unknown) cherished plate seems likely. |
