Oldsmobile Cutlass

Actually a 1971 Oldsmobile 442. It has the proper trim and the louvered hood that was standard on the 442, although the scooped hood was a popular option. The only other mid-size Oldsmobile convertible in 1971 was the Cutlass Supreme, which did not have the louvered hood.

Couldn't this possibly be a '72, Tim?

Tim, your picture is awesome.

It's not my picture, just one I found on the internet to illustrate my point.

It might be a 1972, but in 1972 the 442 was demoted from being a model in its own right to being an option package available on the Cutlass S and Cutlass Supreme. I stand by 1971 though, since it does not appear to have the 1972 style hood stripe and it is IMCDb's convention to use the earliest possible year.

OK, thanks.
Knew they both had hood louvers but was not aware there was a hood stripe difference.

Hey all

I own a 71 442 in this color and trim combination, as far as can be seen (same stipes). The only difference is added the factory mags, mine came with hubcaps. Mine also has bench front bench seat. I’ve owned it over 30 years and bought it from the original owners whom I grew up with.

Great. And do you have some picture of it too? With or without cheerleaders.

442 badge missing on this movie's example, but it's still likely a true 442. Maybe there was a 442 badge delete? Why anybody would do that, I don't know?
