01-14-51 « A Holden Monaro can be seen in the final chase, it's a red car with a weird custom front, and an opening in the roof. Someone said the grille looks like a 1940's Chevy grille? Someone else thought it was a grille from a Ford Mk 1 Zephyr (English car), but that one has been disputed, so it seems not. Someone else suggests a 40's Buick. » http://www.madmaxmovies.com/ |

According to its rear end, it's a HQ series. These car have T-tops or it was hallucination? |

Those HQs didn't come out with T-tops. This is a modification for the movie. -- Last edit: 2006-05-23 18:53:31 |

That is a grille from a 1940 chevy 1939 grilles looked very different and a 41 had chevy emblem that for a t-shape at the top of the grille. Philr I am sorry to say that is close to a buick grille but It is actually a chevy both were very similar. |

I think the best car to compare that particular grill to would be the grill that was used about ten years back on a custom car that Buick built called the Blackhawk. To me it looks like 39 or 40 buick |

Philr is correct, this is a grille from a 1940 Buick. The 1940 Chevy grille does not have that vertical detail splitting the grille down the middle. The Buick does! -- Last edit: 2013-07-05 08:01:28 |
