The Imperial 2-door and 4-door hardtops were both called "Southampton" (body style names, not a separate series). Finally, there was the "Crown Imperial", wich came as an 8-passenger sedan or a limo. Is see no listing for an "Imperial Custom" for '56.

In 1956 there was the "Imperial" 4-door sedan.
The Imperial 2-door and 4-door hardtops were both called "Southampton" (body style names, not a separate series).
