Lack of a badge behind the front wheel makes it a 1980 Continental, model 54D.

I don't go with the post above, 80' Conti's MkVI had an oval opera window.
Seems to be repainted, note the colour scheme, even the chrome stripes above the wheel arch and side moulding are colour keyed.

^Let me straighten things out for you blue_thunder.

In 1980 Lincoln had three models; the Continental, the Continental Mark VI and the Versailles. In 1981, the vehicle formerly known as the Continental was re-named Town Car, which it then maintained for 30 years. While you are absolutely correct about the opera windows on the Mark VI, I was not referring to that model but the plain Continental sedan: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com"

It is an 80 Continental because all 81-89 models have a badge just behind the front wheel reading "Electronic Fuel Injection" and then later Town Car. Actually the 80 Continentals with the 302 also had the EFJ badge, which makes this the relatively rare 351 Windsor equipped model. As 80 was the only year the larger engine was available, it makes the car in question the plain Continental sedan. Any questions?

^ I am sorry! Didn't know about the "base" Continental, thought 1980, Continental MkVII were the only available trim.
You are right about the badge

^Don't feel bad; look at all this stuff that was mislabeled:
/vehicles.php?make=Lincoln&model=Town+Car&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on since the model didn't exist before 1981.

Not to mention all these cars:
/vehicles.php?make=Lincoln&model=Continental+Town+Car&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on Link to "www.imcdb.org" /vehicles.php?make=Lincoln&model=Continental+Town+Coupe&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on The Town Car was just a trim level/option package before 1981, whether the car had it or not is moot since the site doesn't catagorize beyond the model name.
