Derby only for the South American Market? In Europe the name Derby was dropped at the facelift of the 2nd gen (Typ 86C]. |

Why it's still listed as Seat Toledo, as it wasn't available in South America? Wouldn't Polo Classic be correct? @Gomselmash11: yes, this car was called in Europe Polo Classic, too. We had both, the Polo Classic and the Toledo. -- Last edit: 2010-07-11 13:54:38 |

I don't know what this car is but I do know that Mexico is in North America, not South America...and according to Wikipedia SEAT was not sold in Mexico until 2001. |

this model was always called derby in Mexico, this one is early ones 1994-96, was a Seat Cordoba with ther brand, and 1996+ was totally Volkswagen, still called Derby in Mexico due to be a Seat Cordoba with other brand, must be spanish origin and built, made for Mexico, 1994-96 |

@Neon: oops, sorry, yes... For Europe it was built in Spain on the same productions line, some badged as Seat, some as VW. Same way, it was hold by Volkswagen during decades. |
