Features a heavy-duty BorgWarner 4417 2-speed electronic transfer gearbox with a electronically-controlled infinitely variable locking center "differential". 4-wheel multi-terrain traction control comes standard with the 4-wheel-drive system. Four modes: 2 High mode \| Auto mode \| 4 High mode \| 4 Low mode 2 High \| torque is routed to the rear wheels only. Auto \| software does all the work, 100 percent of the engine’s torque is routed to the rear wheels until traction loss is anticipated or detected. The infinitely variable locking center differential can send up to 100 percent or anywhere in-between of supplied torque forward to the front wheels. If a complete mismanagement of the engine’s power is detected at the rear wheels due to traction loss, all 100 percent of the engine’s torque output (365 lb-ft) can be sent forward until the rear wheels regain traction. The front and rear driveshafts are NOT allowed to turn at the same speed. 4 High \| the infinitely variable center differential is locked providing a continuous 50/50 torque split. The front and rear driveshafts are mechanically locked together forcing them to turn at the same speed. High range gearing is used. 4 Low \| same as 4 High mode, but low range off road reduction gearing is engaged. Power is sent through another set of gears. Electronic stability control (ESC) and roll stability control (RSC) are disabled so they do not interfere while the SUV is off road. 4-wheel multi-terrain traction control will continue to function as normal.

The power assisted liftgate is used, and the LED lane departure/side turning indicators can be seen on the side view towing mirrors.
