2007-2010 facelift?

Yes a Touareg II (not I) heavily refreshed for the 2007 model year. Refreshed enough that VW considers it as a second generation I suppose.

Has typical 4x4 hardware, full-time four-wheel drive with two-speed (dual range) transfer case and centre differential lock.

Front and rear differentials are open differentials (a rear differential lock was optional) with no torque control capability. They use Volkswagen’s "electronic differential lock" (EDL), but don’t let the clever name fool you, its just ABS brake traction control.

Not that there is anything wrong with traction control, as it works very well to help control torque from side-to-side, its just electronic differential lock is a very deceiving name to describe it.

It is a restyled I, not a II (2nd-gen = 2010)
That restyled I was named "Touareg 2" in USA for 2007-2008 (reverted to just "Touareg" in 2009). But since it is not USA, it is just a 2007 Touareg I.

Oh, I see, the refreshed 2007-2010 models here on IMCDb were listed as "II" for the generation, now they have been changed to "2" with "I" for the generation. I thought II (for 2) was how we were listing them on the site.
